Logo and Logo animation design

This logo was designed for a video podcast titled “Chit Chat Chattanooga”. I wanted to take a play on things that are iconic in Chattanooga. That brought ideas of the rail system, the mountains, and the river. I was able to incorporate the mountains as a negative image from the sun while simultaneously giving a sine wave effect. I added the headphones which are also shaped as 2 flanked C’s form the ear peices. Finally, you see the river running towards the viewer and along the railroad.

The logo was designed in Adobe Illustrator, the animation was constructed in Adobe After Effects, and the sounds were all recorded on an iPhone and made by me. Some sound effects were edited in Fruity Loops (DAW). There was no sketch to work with as the idea was in my head.
