Artist Statement
My artistic expression boldly confronts the complex and multifaceted concepts of society, culture, and race through a contemporary and historical lens. I strive to evoke a personal connection with the viewer, creating a thought-provoking experience that challenges preconceived notions and invites a nuanced exploration of new perspectives. A blend of playful and serious themes centered around word play, implied, and literal perspectives is what my style brings to the viewer.
Encompassing a diverse range of media, from paintings in acrylic, oil, and spray paint, to intricate sculptures in ceramic, rock, wood, and metal. My art draws inspiration from elements of graffiti, typography, low-brow, and pop surrealism to create a bold, cohesive aesthetic that captures the current climate of our ever-evolving society.
